How to use the Wondrwall Security Features.

In addition to providing your home energy management needs, Wondrwall acts as the security system for the home. For advice on how to use this feature, please read the following article.

How to Arm and Disarm the Wondrwall Security System

The Wondrwall security system is seamlessly integrated into each light switch within your home. While additional devices like an Alarm Siren can enhance the system, they are not essential for basic operation.

Scenes and Modes:

For the basic operation, each light switch has different Scenes: Home, Away and Sleep

These scenes determine the security settings and other functionalities. They are found at the bottom of the main home page and can be activated here.

Home:

Home mode is for when you are at home and would like to disable all of the security settings. In-Home mode, the home also defaults to run any heating schedules using the Comfort temperatures set for different scheduled periods.

Away:

Away mode is for when you are leaving the property and would like to activate the built-in motion sensors for each light switch. While in Away mode if any of the switches detect motion from a body moving past it, this will trigger the security alert.

While in Away mode the home will default to using only the Saving preset temperature for any heating schedules. This is to avoid unnecessarily heating an empty home.

Sleep:

While in Sleep, by default all devices are disarmed, however, you can alter this by using the behaviour setting, allowing you to arm certain light switches at night.

Please see our article Changing Security Behaviour via Scenes. For more advice on how to alter the behaviour settings for a light switch.

Security Alert:

The security alert activates an alarm sound in every single light switch speaker. In addition to this the system will send a notification to the app to notify you that motion has been detected, giving you the option to disarm.

If a Siren is paired to the home as well then in this instance, it will sound as well until the home is disarmed.
