The article explains how to manually control Wondrwall lighting and heating devices, ensuring flexibility and convenience in your smart home.
Sometimes you need to take matters into your own hands—whether it’s due to home network issues, Wi-Fi installation delays, or simply wanting to override a schedule. Wondrwall devices offer a manual override feature, ensuring you can physically control your devices when needed.
Manually Controlling Lighting
- Touch Sensors: You can manually control lights using the touch sensors on the face of the light switch.
- Locate the touch sensors under the grey rings on the front cover.
- The on/off state is indicated by an LED.
- Three buttons correspond to outputs on the back of the device.
- If you experience issues with the touch sensor, try using the outside/top of your finger—it’s more comfortable and reacts better with the capacitive sensor.
Manually Controlling Heating
Using a Thermostat:
- If you have a thermostat:
- Put the device into “Heat” mode.
- Use the +/- controls to set the target temperature to your desired level.
- The thermostat will then maintain the home at that temperature.
Smart Relays for Infrared Panels or Underfloor Heating:
- If you’re controlling infrared panels or underfloor heating with smart relays:
- Manually turn the heating on or off using the buttons on the smart relays.
- Single-press the button to toggle.
- Zones should be labeled by the installer.
- You’ll see a red glow if the device is on.
Warning: If presets haven’t been programmed into the system the relays will remain on until manually turned off. Leaving the device on can easily overheat the home.
