Wondrwall’s Complex Lighting feature replaces traditional two-way and intermediate lighting circuits, offering greater flexibility for your smart home.
Wondrwall Light Switches offer a feature called Complex Lighting, which allows users to control a lighting circuit from more than one location. This feature is especially useful for controlling lights in areas such as staircases, hallways, or landings. Up to four Light Switches can be used to control a single lighting circuit. To set up Complex Lighting, follow these simple steps.
Setting up Complex Lighting
- Open the Wondrwall app and navigate to Lighting.
- Select the Light Switch that currently controls the light via the touch sensor (the one physically wired to the lighting circuit).
- On the device page, choose Complex Lights.
- Press Link another light switch and select the secondary device in the desired configuration from the list. You will now have the three touch sensors of both devices represented on the screen.
- Connected touch sensors on the top device are indicated by a bulb icon, tap the icon you wish to link once and if selected correctly this will turn into a cross.
- Press a vacant button (indicated by darker grey) on the secondary light switch to join them. If successful, a dotted line will show the link.
- Finally, press Save.
Now all connected light switches will control the same light, providing convenient access throughout your home.

If your complex lighting stops working or freezes:
- Check the devices:
- If either device encounters an error, a flashing LED will be visible on the status bar.
- If only one LED is flashing, this device is offline and you can find steps to fix this here.
- If three are flashing, check how to resolve this here.
- If either device encounters an error, a flashing LED will be visible on the status bar.
- Check the configuration:
- Double-check your settings to make sure they haven't been altered.
- Reboot the Wi-Fi Router:
- This forces devices to rediscover each other when the light switches come back online.
