Using the Lighting Widget
Control and customise your home’s lighting, including Complex Lighting and Connected Lights, directly from the Wondrwall app.
Introduction
The Lighting Widget in the Wondrwall app allows you to quickly control your home’s lighting from anywhere. Each light switch is linked to a specific zone (room) and can be switched on or off independently. You can also configure Complex Lighting, which lets multiple switches control the same light or group of lights. You can also change Connected Lights settings to suit your home’s wiring, giving you flexible, intelligent lighting control.

-
On the home screen, you will see a grid of widgets, each controlling a different part of your Wondrwall system.

You are now on the Lighting Overview Screen.
Note: Some widgets on your Wondrwall app homepage may be greyed out. This means you do not currently have any of the associated Wondrwall devices paired.
The Lighting Overview Screen
The Lighting Overview Screen is your central hub for controlling the lighting in each zone of your home. below is a deep dive into the different icons on this page
Icon Overview
Master On/Off toggle
- This toggle is located in the top right of the Lighting Overview Screen
- Allows you to turn every light connected to a Wondrwall Light Switch on and off simultaneously
Room Icons
- Each room assigned to a light switch will have its own icon on this page
- This icon contains a small icon of a person running
- If this Icon is green, then the room/zone is active meaning someone is in therefore the room is occupied
- If the Icon is grey, then the room/zone is inactive meaning the room is empty.
Individual On and Off Switches:
Some Wondrwall Light Switches can control more than one lighting circuit in the same room. A common example is a connected kitchen and dining room, where each area has its own lighting but both are wired to a single smart switch.
On the Lighting overview screen, each switch will appear with multiple On/Off buttons:
-
Single circuit: If the switch controls only one circuit, the On/Off button will toggle that light as expected.
-
Two circuits: If two circuits are connected, the left and right buttons control each circuit individually. The middle button controls both together (for example, turning the kitchen and dining room lights on or off at the same time).
-
Three circuits: If three circuits are connected, each On/Off button corresponds to one circuit, allowing full independent control.
The app uses clear visual states for each button:
-
On: lime green
-
Off: dark grey
Note: This room occupation is measured by the motion sensors in the Wondrwall Light switch.
