Using Amazon Alexa with Wondrwall Light Switches
You can use Alexa on your Wondrwall Light Switch. You will see two solid lights on the status bar before Alexa is enabled on your Wondrwall Light Switch.
If you want to integrate your Wondrwall Light Switch with Amazon Alexa, follow these steps to unlock voice control and enhance your smart home experience.
1. Enabling Amazon Alexa in the Wondrwall App
- After successfully pairing your light switch, the Wondrwall app will prompt you to enable Amazon Alexa.
- You’ll receive a popup notification. Choose “OK” to start the login process or “Cancel” if you want to do it later.
- If you cancel, don’t worry—you can always activate, deactivate, or reactivate Alexa in the light switch settings.
Note: that Amazon doesn’t allow multiple devices to be connected simultaneously. Therefore, repeat this process for each Wondrwall light switch.
If your login credentials are saved on your phone and you’ve selected “Stay logged in,” you’ll only need to allow access without re-entering details.
2. Activating the Wondrwall Skill in the Alexa App
- Open the Alexa app on your mobile device.
- Navigate to the “Skills & Games” section.
- Search for the “Wondrwall Skill” and enable it.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the linking process.
3. Discovering Your Wondrwall Devices
- Once connected, ask Alexa to discover your devices. Simply say, “Discover my devices.”
- Alexa will find all your compatible Wondrwall devices.
4. Voice Commands and Beyond
- Now you can talk to every Wondrwall light switch in your home using Alexa.
- Use Alexa voice commands to control your Wondrwall light switches — for example: "Alexa, turn on the living room lights" or "Alexa, dim the bedroom lights to 50%."
