Activating Octopus Agile in the Wondrwall App

Wondrwall is all about intelligent energy management and is capable of leveraging the Octopus Agile tariff tosignificantly enhance your energy savings.

This Octopus Agile integration with the Wondrwall System is designed to optimise energy consumption and reduce energy bills for homeowners. By activating this feature, you will have full access to the potential of the Wondrwall Intelligent Energy Management System, helping you save money by switching to cheaper energy tariffs during off-peak periods.

Understanding Octopus Agile

The Octopus Agile tariff allows you to buy energy when it’s cheapest, optimising your energy bills. Wondrwall calculates your energy needs and automatically imports energy during low-cost periods. It uses this energy to charge the battery, heat the hot water, and optimise your heating schedule. Wondrwall uses battery storage to ensure you avoid importing energy during peak times when prices are highest. Plus, it maximises your earnings by exporting surplus solar electricity back to the grid.

Enabling Octopus Agile in Wondrwall

1. 1. Open the Wondrwall app

   2. Tap the Settings icon (furthest to the right on the navigation bar), or swipe right until you reach the Settings page

   3. Scroll down and select Tariff Settings

   You’ll now be able to choose from three different methods for entering your tariff information:

   • Smart Meter

   • Octopus Agile

   • Manually Set Tariff

   Let’s walk through these one by one.

   Smart Meter (Coming Soon)

   When this option is selected, Wondrwall will automatically load your tariff from your connected smart meter. This gives you the most accurate estimate of your energy usage and costs, with updates once per day.

   Note: Smart meter integration is expected to launch towards the end of 2025.

   Octopus Agile

   If you're using the Octopus Agile tariff, Wondrwall can intelligently track wholesale electricity prices, buying energy when it’s cheapest and exporting when it’s most profitable.

   1. To activate, simply toggle on Octopus Agile in Tariff Settings

   2. Prices will update automatically every 30 minutes

   3. Wondrwall will optimise your energy use around the clock

Daily Agile Tariff Updates

• Wondrwall will download the Agile tariff from Octopus each day.
• This tariff becomes part of the Wondrwall energy optimisation process.
• You’re all set to enjoy smarter, greener energy management!

Remember, leveraging to the Octopus Agile tariff can double your energy savings and further reduce your bills.

Enable the Smart Schedule toggle and then click on Import (Consumption) Tariff.

Enable the Octopus Agile toggle. It will use your post code from Location details in the settings screen. If not set, you will be prompted to set it.

This will cause the agile tariff to be downloaded from Octopus each day to become part of the Wondrwall energy optimisation process. You are all set.
