Configuring Tariffs in the Wondrwall App

To help your intelligent Wondrwall system make smarter energy decisions, it’s important to configure your tariff settings in the app. This allows the system to optimise for off-peak pricing, estimate your bills more accurately, and track your energy savings.

Getting Started

1. Open the Wondrwall app

2. Tap the Settings icon (furthest to the right on the navigation bar), or swipe right until you reach the Settings page

3. Scroll down and select Tariff Settings

You’ll now be able to choose from three different methods for entering your tariff information:

• Smart Meter

• Octopus Agile

• Manually Set Tariff

Let’s walk through these one by one.

Smart Meter (Coming Soon)

When this option is selected, Wondrwall will automatically load your tariff from your connected smart meter. This gives you the most accurate estimate of your energy usage and costs, with updates once per day.

Octopus Agile

If you're using the Octopus Agile tariff, Wondrwall can intelligently track wholesale electricity prices, automatically charging your devices and battery when energy is cheapest, and exporting when it’s most profitable.

1. To activate, simply toggle on Octopus Agile in Tariff Settings

2. Prices will update automatically every 30 minutes

3. Wondrwall will optimise your energy use around the clock

Manually Set Tariff

If your home is on a different tariff, you can manually enter your pricing details in the app.

Start by selecting Manually Set Tariff. You’ll see a list of preset Octopus Time-of-Use tariffs to choose from. At the bottom of the list, select Other Tariff to input your own rates. From here, you’ll be given two options:

Fixed Tariff

Choose this option if you're on a fixed-rate tariff. Note that a fixed tariff doesn't allow Wondrwall to shift energy use across time periods, so it offers less optimisation potential than time-of-use or Agile options.

To configure:

1. Enter a single import and export price

2. Best suited for tariffs with a flat rate throughout the day

3. Quick and simple to configure

Complex Tariff

Use this setting for tariffs with multiple pricing periods — such as Economy 7, Flux, or other time-of-use tariffs — that aren't available as a preset in the list above.

To configure:

1. Set individual prices for Peak, Day, and Off-Peak periods

2. Use the visual grid to assign each time slot to a pricing tier

3. Tap and drag time slots into the correct row to mark them as Peak (Red), Day (Blue), or Off-Peak (Green)
